What is Google Search Console?
Google Search Console is a free Google tool that lets website owners see how the search engine views their site. It reports on the indexing status of URLs and the reasons pages are excluded, 404 errors, search queries with impressions, clicks and average position, and Core Web Vitals from real visits; it is also where sitemaps are submitted and indexing can be requested for a URL. It is the core data source for technical SEO and site migrations.
How we use it at Koda Plus
We set up Search Console as standard alongside GA4 and Google Tag Manager. Its reports are the starting point of our technical SEO audits, content strategy progress is reported on its data, and for AEO we set it against brand presence in AI answers. After a shop migration we use it for the first few weeks to follow the page indexing report, 404 errors and redirected pages.
