What is Medusa Cloud?
Medusa Cloud is a managed hosting platform built by the Medusa.js team. It deploys the Medusa backend, the Admin dashboard and the storefront (Next.js, TanStack Start or SvelteKit) straight from your repository and gives every environment a managed PostgreSQL database, Redis, S3 file storage, a CDN and SSL. From the Launch plan up it adds autoscaling, zero-downtime deploys and point-in-time backups, and every pull request gets its own preview environment.
How we use it at Koda Plus
We recommend Medusa Cloud to new clients building a store or a B2B wholesale platform on Medusa: usually the Launch plan, and Scale with a dedicated worker when heavy ERP integrations run in the background. We use preview environments so clients can approve every change before it goes live. Our earlier stores ran on Railway with PostgreSQL, Redis, Cloudflare R2 for files and the storefront on Cloudflare. We still maintain them, and when we migrate one we move the database and files to Medusa Cloud without rewriting the application.
In our services
When it makes sense
- A Medusa store or wholesale platform goes live and needs backups, Redis and autoscaling without running servers yourself
- The team wants to review every change in its own environment before it reaches production
- The business prefers one invoice and one vendor over separate hosting, database, file storage and CDN
- Store data has to stay in the European Union (the Frankfurt region)
